In case you were wondering...

Isla's extreme case of separation anxiety lasted approximately two weeks. She still occasionally gets upset if I walk out of her view, especially if she is tired, but she no longer fights me about going to sleep. Once again, when she is tired, I need only put her in her crib with her pacifier and her bear, and she puts herself to sleep.

I took Isla to the pediatric ophthalmologist last Tuesday, and thankfully, her eyes are fine. It turns out that she displays pseudostrabismus. Essentially, this is an optical illusion that occurs in infants and toddlers making their eyes appear to turn inward.
