How We Are Doing

We are doing really well. I hate to say that and jinx myself, but all things considered, I think we are adjusting really well to being a family of four.

Joesph is now 4 and a half weeks old, and is a very easy baby. While I am typing this, he is buzzing in his bouncer and listening to some Bach. He is growing well. I took him to the pediatrician Monday, and he already weighs 10 lbs. I am breastfeeding him, which is hard work, but is obviously going well based on his weight gain.

Isla is doing well. She is interested in Joseph, but still gets jealous from time to time. She has just recently started pooping in the potty (she has been peeing in the potty for 6 months now). She needs a lot of encouragement at this point, but I am extremely excited about this new development. She also took a nap in her underpants yesterday, and stayed dry. If we could get down to diapers only at bedtme (one diaper a day), I would be really happy.

Mike and I are hanging in there, though we are struggling a little with getting up for night time feedings. All in all, we are just glad that everyone is happy and healthy at this point.
