On Hiatus

I apologize that I have gone nine days now without posting. In that time, Isla, my mother and I spent four really nice days visiting family in Pennsylvania (more about that later), Mike and I started Isla on solids (more about that later), and Isla caught a cold. We are still battling the cold, unfortunately, and her congestion makes it difficult for our little one to sleep and eat. As a result, mommy has been rather preoccupied with her care.
